I know they told me You should know better This 45 degree angle don't let it go down... Don't let it go down It's impossible The velocity Shakes these tiny wheels and I should know better But I'm a go getter... And you can see my name On the frame Of this boy's bike, of this boy's bike You can See my name On the frame of this boy's bike...of this boy's bike Do you? Wanna race? On this boy's bike On this boy's bike I may be younger than you But our paths collide I've got time on my side And I can still ride. Don't tell me no. When I got home I was twisted in half, twisted in half, twisted in half. When I got home I was twisted in half, twisted in half, twisted in half. They all said Do you know your name? Well, that made me laugh. I may be younger than you But our paths collide I've got time on my side And I can still ride. Don't tell me no.

Full of the juice of monarchs Bursting with tongues of Adam Beating with hearts of Caesar Come into my throne Lie to me about where we'll land But tell me the truth about where we stand Lie to me about where we'll land But tell me the truth about where we stand I think we'll make an infant Pregnant for one another Serve me wine with ladles Come into my throne Lie to me about where we'll land But tell me the truth about where we stand Lie to me about where we'll land But tell me the truth about where we stand Where we stand Purple would be suiting But black bestowed upon you You scuttle through the doorways Of flesh and silt and bone Crawl into these spaces Lest the door is levered Against decomposition From indiscriminate foes I will let you feast here Knowing that your toils From patriarch to minstrel Hath no prejudice Well, come and do your work Return me to the dirt Come and do your work Return me to the dirt

about

There's always so much I want to say and do, so I thought I'd force myself to say and do less in this recording.

I made this EP two full years ago because I wanted to express something pared down and emotional. I wanted the vocals to resonate and echo. I wanted to be personal. And then I did what many other artists do...I locked it up and let it go without seeing the light. The timing never felt right to release it. I had a baby. Life threw me down a different path the way the whitewater sucks in the fallen branch.

So here's a thing I made, about life, death, and my first bike crash.
